My concept design for a mixed-use tower in Minato City in Tokyo creates a mixture of residential and work spaces in a ward of Tokyo that is home to a number of corporate headquarters but has one of the lowest population densities. The twisting floor plates create an elegant form and a smooth transition from the optimal floor plate of an office to an optimal floor plate of an apartment building. The 60-storey mixed-use tower therefore contributes activity to the surrounding area of Minato throughout the day and night.
